Priorities...wait what?

So maybe my priorities are a little mixed at the moment....

I'm on here writing a blog...

Whilst beside me sits a mound of homework, leering at me, expectantly, waiting to be done.

*sigh*

It seems as though my procrastination has truly gotten the better of me tonight.  But I seem to not be able to focus while feeling so blue as I currently do.  Not sure why, pms-ing perhaps.

But in lieu of rambling about feeling so lonely tonight, I'm going to share with you my newest hair color.  Personally I love it, though it has already faded quite a bit since I dyed it 3 weeks ago.

So, I think red suits me.  Brings out the blue in my eyes.  Ignore the dark circles it was 7:30 am when I took this pic, and morning just does not suit me (well that in addition to late nights, homework puts me at its beck and call) Speaking of homework, I'm heading to bed early so I can have more time tomorrow to tackle this mound, it is definitely not getting touched tonight. Sleep is a much more tempting mistress in my eyes.

Day full of interuptions...

So, I did manage to finish up the homework for two classes.  Not the whole butt load like I'd originally wanted to do.   Was interrupted by sleep (LOL), grocery shopping (Hey! I was hungry and the fridge was bare, seriously, just some wine and Swiss cheese.  Love that stuff, but not for breakfast.)

Finally, I got settled in on the sofa, stack of books to my left, and Repo the Genetic Opera playing for some background noise.  I start reading chap. 2 in Human Bio.  Suitable I decide to myself.  Then I hear screams from upstairs...

"Help! Help! We have company coming!"

"Who Mom?" I shout back.

"Guess." Comes the panicked reply.

"Papa?"

"And..."

"Crazy aunt and uncle?"

"Yes!"

I rush upstairs to help Mom hide anything that might be the least religiously offensive to the extreme radical Christians.  And just as we catch our breath two vehicles pull into the driveway.

The conversation was boring.

I have learned that the Wii is evil and is causing the violent demoralization of our children.  Especially that damn guitar hero.  (Wait, I didn't think Wii had Guitar Hero.  Sigh.)  That my Aunt was having trouble with her insulin machine because "Well, we mustn't speak of bad things. They're listening you know."  And that all drug addicts would simply be cured if we could rid them of their demons.  And I'm not talking skeletons in the closet type demons, I'm talking red winged horned demons that have possessed their very souls.  *Sigh*

Finally they leave.  Mail comes.  More stuff filtering through to me from the past.  F*** the past, but unfortunately this is something that must be taken care of...so...borrowing money from The Boy until I get my tax return.  Bless his heart.  I don't know what I would do without him.

Then dinner at the future Step Dad's (he's cool so that was a bonus) with Mom and Future Step Bro.  Mom and FSD kicked me and FSB's butts in Wii bowling (although I do think we may have demoralized ourselves and now have a place in Hell with our names on it for touching the abominable Wii).  Then met The Boy after he got off of work, and amazingly enough I finished Chap. 2 and took the quiz in Human Biology and finished assignments for XHTML:Web Development and Design.  Now off to work on some more homework, then to bed.

Hopefully, tomorrow will have no interruptions!

Wowzers, still did not finish..

Had a set schedule so I could keep most of my first weekend back in school free, not gonna happen, only finished half of what I set my goal to finish tonight.  I've got 4 quizzes due already!  Yikes!  Gonna bust my tail tomorrow night.

I'm still loving my job though, have been slowly getting things into my office and set up to make it feel more like me.  I may have to invest in a small space heater tho, it is chilly in there! Brrrr!  I'm looking forward to Friday night, it is our first Checker Tournament.  It's only a $3 door charge, and I'll be there working so you know the company will be great!

Once my office is just right I'll post some pics so ya'll can check out my quirky work style LOL.  But no making fun!  (Well not too much fun anyway)

Oh and for those of you who are photographically talented there are a few Facebook Challenges that Red Hill General Store is doing.  Stop by our facebook page and check out the events to learn more about that.  There are prizes!!!

But for now, I'm gonna get some shut eye.  I might try to go into work for a bit before I have to leave for class since WCC is running their delayed schedule.  I could get in about 2 hours in the am, and 2.5 in the pm.  So that wouldn't be too bad.

Anyway, Good Night!

All Worked Out

Today was a busy day, lots of meetings in my dept. at work.  Our ideas and things are coming together, but the next few weeks until I get into a set schedule are going to be hectic at Red Hill.  But I'm looking forward to the challenge.  I'm also looking forward to decorating my new office.  We finally got things rearranged so I now have my own space.  First time I've ever had an entire office to myself.  I had a nice little cubicle at Weichert, but this is awesome.

School is going to be tough though.  My class on XHTML is going to take 6-9 hours a week.  Also, everyone has told me that a C is an A in Human Biology, which I also have.  Then Office Admin. is going to be a little tough since I'm taking it before a couple classes you're supposed to take, but the teacher thinks I'm smart enough to do it without those classes.  Medical Terminology doesn't seem like it will be too bad, just a lot of work and memorization.  And I'm not sure about Medical Transcription since my first class in it isn't until tomorrow (weather permitting).

So if you want to see some of the things I've been up to at Red Hill General Store, you should check out their company blog.  It's really the only thing tangible that I've done at the moment the rest is behind the scenes type stuff.

Well off to bed, hopefully a big day tomorrow!

Been Awhile.

hAnd I apologize for my disappearance.  School and two jobs was beginning to hog all my time.  Which is sad that I left my blog alone, because I love to write, and I love to share.  Things between the boy and I are still going wonderfully.  I am now working at my DREAM job.  I get to write, be creative, and interact with other equally creative people :D  I'm working for Red Hill General Store .  They are a great company, with wonderful people, and they are definitely wanting to do big things in our community.

School-wise, I'm still going, I'm able to write off 5 classes due to testing out of several and my adviser helping me to rearrange things so that I can also get Dreamweaver certified, which will be a big help at my new job.  And I'm still getting my Administrative Degree.  So I'm super exciting about that.  This upcoming semester has one class that is killer according to other people that I've talked to, but I'm going to try to not disappear for as long of a period as I did this past time.  I'm still not going to brave doing Etsy until after I'm finished with my degree.  But I will try to write as often as possible and I'm also going to start blogging about the things that The Boy (aka Richie) and I are doing to further our dreams along, I'll let you know all the wonderful events that Red Hill is doing, and also I'm going to try to do a little volunteering this upcoming year, and I will keep you updated with pics, etc. on all of these things.

For New Year's resolutions:  Be healthier.  Volunteer (at least once a year until out of school).  Try to not be so hard on myself.  Make more time for my friends.  And to finally get back to the roots of who I am and figure out what type of person I want to be.
